Daniel Hall
player profile
| I am currently 25, and I grew up in Lubbock, Texas bowling at WhiteWood Lanes. I bowled the Junior Bowlers Tour Southwest (JBT) for many years, and have traveled to over 25 states/territories for bowling tournaments! Additionally, I have worked in the pro shop industry since I was 16.
I went to college at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas and bowled collegiately there for 4 years. My junior year I became the manager of the local pro shop there. After college I moved to Des Moines, Iowa and worked in a pro shop there before deciding to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida where I currently reside and work for BowlersMart. Be sure to stop by BowlersMart IQ in Jacksonville and say hi! |
Who / What Got You Started in Bowling?
| When I was in 4th grade, I took up bowling in my local youth league every Saturday morning. I was the first person to start bowling in my immediate family, and now my mom bowls a lot too! |
What Do You Love About the Sport?
| I love the people in bowling. A huge reason why I enjoy working in the pro shop so much is because I get to meet more people and have a direct impact on the growth of the sport. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I also love teaching, and I have the opportunity to teach through my YouTube channel. I am always learning and transferring that knowledge on to others to grow and become more knowledgeable about the sport of bowling. |
Favorite Bowling Memory
| My favorite bowling memory is when I shot 300 on the same exact day 2 years apart at the exact same tournament. I even had the same 9-game all events score! In 2016, one of our great youth league directors, Lonnie Stroud Sr., passed away. On June 9th, at the 2017 and 2018 Texas State Youth USBC Tournament, I shot 300 and dedicated both of them to him. It was an incredible moment that I’ll never forget. |
Who is Your Favorite Bowler?
| My favorite bowler was Pete Weber growing up. Nowadays, I enjoy watching Darren Tang—and you might even spot me in some of his videos! |
Awards & Achievements
| I won USBC Sectionals as a freshman in college, shooting the highest 6-game total score (1,427) in the country in 2019
Two 3rd place finishes at the True Amateur Tournament in Las Vegas One JBT Southwest Title and one JBT Top Dawg Tournament win |
Bowling Accomplishments
| I have eight 300 games and one 800 series (814) |
