| I’m 32 years old and from Omaha, Nebraska. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for my first two years and eventually transferred to Midland University for my Junior and and Senior year. While at Nebraska I was part of the 2009 NCAA National Championship team, and at Midland I was part of the 2012 Intercollegiate National Championship Team. I then went to Creighton University in 2013 where I obtained by BSN and immediately started working at Nebraska Methodist hospital after that. Other random facts…my nickname on tour is muffin and I am a big sneaker head! |
Who / What Got You Started in Bowling?
| My parents used to bowl in a fun Friday/Saturday night league, so I spent a majority of my weekend nights there watching them and making friends in the bowling alley arcade as a toddler. I would get to throw a ball down the lane on occasion once their league finished up, which is where I grew to first love the sport. It wasn’t until high school where I started to become more competitive when I realized there were scholarship opportunities in college bowling. |
What Do You Love About the Sport?
| My absolute favorite thing about this sport is the people you meet along the way. The travel can obviously be exhausting at times, but had it not been for all of the time on the road, I wouldn’t have met some of my best friends and formed life long relationships.
The constant learning process is also another thing I love about the sport. It’s almost a love/hate relationship. There are practice and competition days that are so maddening you sometimes wonder why you should continue, but those same days keep you coming back and trying figure out how to be even better as a bowler and as a person. |
Favorite Bowling Memory
| Winning the U.S. Open. I’m not sure there is anything that could ever top that achievement for me. |
