| Hey everyone!
I’m 40 and live in the Raleigh-Durham area in North Carolina, have been bowling for over 30 years and am a USBC Level 1 Coach. Favorite balls of all time: OG Hammer Black Widow, Black Widow Bite along with the Radical Conspiracy and Incognito. Former Hammer staffer and previously owned two pro shops in the Triad, NC area that were ultimately integrated into BowlersMart. Now they are stuck with me as a groupie! Fun Fact — In my free time, I’m a recreational pilot and enjoy aviation! |
Who / What Got You Started in Bowling?
| My mom was in the Air Force and when she bowled league, I would bowl too and eventually every day after school. The bowling atmosphere was my childhood babysitter! |
What Do You Love About the Sport?
| I love both the competition and camaraderie. I have made everlasting friendships throughout the years. It’s also a good excuse to travel (Las Vegas)! |
Favorite Bowling Memory
| I have lots of favorite moments, but a few that stand out are:
Winning the 1998 Coca-Cola (now Pepsi) Youth State Championship and getting to bowl against international competition. Finished 5th in that tournament representing NC. Getting to meet my idol PB3 and bowling his annual scholarship tournament in New Jersey. He also surprised me for my High School graduation (pretty cool!). That is one awesome family! Shooting 821 in front of Mo Pinel at a Bowling Federation Tour Stop (was average leader for the season) My wife Sam’s first 200 game to beat me in league. She was on the opposing team and ran up and down the place making sure EVERYONE knew! |
